Angelique Video

Angelique loves art and people, so it's a great joy for her to bring the two together in harmonious environments. Whether it's remodeling or creating new businesses, restaurants, hotel lobbies or homes, Angelique delights in making spaces work well for everyone. A specialist in understanding people's needs, she considers each individual's need for efficiency, ease of movement, shape, color, texture and style within their environment.

Born in Rome, Georgia and schooled in Wisconsin, she excelled in art, English and reading. Without formal training in design, she just ‘knew' how to make spaces more inviting. She could see in her mind what things could look like. It wasn't until later in life that she began using this gift of visualization as a career.

Angelique received her high school letter and college scholarships in forensics, or public speaking. She later used these skills to coach high school students in forensics, to judge and compete in forensics and debate in college, and as a profession: she coached corporate executives in presentation skills, sold products and services to groups of 300 people or more, and hosts television shows.

Angelique has won awards and monies for her watercolor art, and had several pieces displayed in galleries in Wisconsin and Arizona.

Angelique received a bachelor's degree in Journalism, with a minor in Public Relations and Philosophy from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU. She worked as an independent journalist for newspapers in the Phoenix area.

Angelique's artistic talent was also employed as a graphic designer in Oshkosh, WI, where she created projects for prominent companies such as Gillette, Procter & Gamble, Neenah-Menasha Corporation, Hilton and Frito-Lay and managed a portion of the creative design division at OEC Graphics.

A position as Marketing Manager brought her to Tennessee. Angelique provided corporate marketing and advertising research, strategy, promotions and production for Tennessee Tape and Label.

After her marriage to a commercial and residential builder, Angelique's childhood gift to visualize buildings was rekindled. Her design visions were implemented, and she was given the opportunity to further explore design as well as gain understanding of how to create a finished product.

Angelique knew that although she had vision, she needed real, hands-on training. She needed to know how to make her visions work. She began learning about the industry from the ground-up.

For ten years, she worked side-by-side with contractors, subcontractors and crew members to learn how to dig footers, pour foundations, frame and brace structures, run electrical and plumbing, hang and mud drywall, install cabinetry, tile, wood flooring, sinks, faucets, toilets, lighting, you name it ... everything it takes to make a great space!

This hands-on training gives Angelique a unique edge- she can speak the language of the contractors and crew, and she knows how to get things scheduled and done right the first time. This saves clients time and money, assuring that each subcontractor is scheduled to work at the right time and in accordance with the timing of the other subcontractors. This means fewer, more efficiently-paid hours, so it takes less time and money to complete projects.

Angelique works with clients, contractors and crews, directing design and decorating projects and working together to come up with creative solutions to design challenges.

She also enjoys working with architects and builders to design new commercial buildings and residences. Aside from building for others, Angelique also enjoys creating very artistic, eclectic and unique residences for show and sale. Her last home design featured lake views, spacious rooms, fireplaces, a courtyard within a in wooded setting, a commercial-grade kitchen and hand-painted wall artistry. The home was purchased and is being enjoyed by a well-known executive at Scripps Network.

Angelique has also been given the opportunity to host a television show on HGTV, called HGTVPro.com Kitchens & Baths. It's for industry professionals who want to learn more about new products, services and methods to improve business and client relations. To view some of the shows, click here.

She is also a member of and sponsored by the NKBA, or, the National Kitchen and Bath Association. She is quoted and featured in their marketing literature and national magazine, Profiles.

She recently received the honor of being asked to design a world's ‘first': custom trim profiles and packages that include her copyrighted, new milling techniques that allow for the most beautifully versatile, easily-installed trim in the world. It is currently under production at Kretz Lumber Company in Antigo, WI and will be available to both commercial and residential retailers.

Angelique is also a House Coach. Like life coaching, this optional service helps people to work through their own personal challenges. Clients decide what qualities or skills they'd like to develop, and Angelique uses the building project as a place for clients to practice. To learn more, click here.
