Kathryn and Matt - Kitchen Island as Furniture

Problem:

Their kitchen needed a makeover!  Kathryn & Matt demolished their existing kitchen together.  Matt loves woodworking, and hand-made their new cabinetry.  They really wanted a kitchen island, and thought it would be fun to choose a contrasting cabinetry color on the island, but were unsure what type and color countertop to choose.

Solution:

Since their family needed a durable countertop surface that would clean easily, we recommended Cambria quartz countertops.  To add beauty, we selected a countertop color that would contrast the wood cabinetry- chocolate-colored countertops for their off-white kitchen island and an off-white countertop on their chocolate-colored cabinetry.

Tips:

Don't be afraid of color, or to try something new.
